The VC-HR Straighten and Cut machines are the ideal solution to tough straightness applications and hi-speed production.  The machines are available in 2 versions:

• Machines for Hi-Tensile wire, Stainless steel, and Precision medium and low carbon steel.
• Machines for Hot-Rolled wire, Deformed steel, Ribbed and Corrugated wire. 

The Adaptive Straightener Speed enables the machine operator achieve perfect straightness on any type of wire, and still get absolute length repeatability and high production rates.  
The Adaptive Speed is achieved by the rotating straightener, whose speed is electronically synchronized according to the wire`s tensile strength and feed speed. The VC-HR machines are available up to Ø32mm (1-1/4").  The special straightener and feed boxes construction enable running at 150 meter/minute (500 fpm) for less demanding applications and at 90-100 meter/minute (300 fpm) for precision applications. The VC-HR line is equipped with an Adjustable Acceleration Flying Shear, with No Clutch.  The ability to adjust the linear acceleration and speed of the flying shear eliminates slippage of the feed boxes on the wire during acceleration and during cut-off, which is important for hi-tensile wires. The wire is fed by 2 feed boxes, equipped with quick change wheels.  The feed roll pressure is pneumatically adjusted from a control panel.
The straightening is done by a rotating straightener with 3 shoes and 2 rotating dies.  This combination assures less damage to the ribs then any other system.   For the upper range of wire diameters, the machines can be optionally equipped with a 2-plane straightener instead of the rotary straightener. A Positive Stop is standard on all models, except when using the optional Computerized Length.  The wire hits the positive stop before it is being cut, enabling to achieve a very accurate cut length, yet keeping the high wire speed. The stainless steel run-off guide does not need adjustments when changing wire diameter.  The positive stop is traveling on a rail, and is secured to its place by 2 bolts. The VC-HR machines are highly reliable, and more operator friendly then ever, performing a length change in seconds and complete wire diameter change in 1/2 hour. 
VC-HR features: 1. Heavy Duty Feed boxes, using robust bearings, based on Videx`s 30 years of experience.  The feed boxes are equipped with Quick-Mount Feed Wheels, made out of D2 (1.2379) steel.  The feed pressure is pneumatically regulated by the operator,  either when machine is running or at rest. 2. Independent adjustment of the wire speed and 
the straightener RPM, achieving perfect straightness for any combination of wire diameter and hardness.
The machine is equipped with 3 speed controllers that are electrically linked to each other and are operated through the control panel.  3. Wire straightening is performed by a rotating straightener with 3 pairs of shoes and 2 rotating dies, vs. 5 pairs of shoes in other machines.  
This combination assures less damage to ribbed wires and fewer scratches on drawn wire then in any other system.  For the upper range of wire diameters, Videx offers an optional 2-plane straightener instead of the rotary straightener. 4. High Production; up to 145 meter/minute (475 fpm) in ribbed wire and 90-100 meter/minute (300 fpm) for Precision wire. 5. Flying Shear with no clutch, pneumatically operated by a Festo cylinder.  The system is supplied with a Controlled Acceleration of the Flying shear, enabling to adjust the Flying shear speed and thus eliminate any possible slippage between the feed rolls and the wire.  This pneumatic construction is reliable and simple to maintain.  
The Positive stop assures an accurate bar length (+-0.5 mm). 6. Quick-change Cut-Off knife with 4 working faces and a Closed cut-off quill, integrated with a Square cut-off Support, that holds the wire parallel and supports it during the cut-of operation, for accurate, square cut face. 7. Run-Off Guide made out of Stainless Steel, for years of trouble-free operation. The stainless steel run-off guide does not need adjustments when changing wire diameter. 
The bottom guide (gate) is also made out of stainless steel.  The opening of the gate is very quiet and it has no wearing parts. 8. High Production, up to 145 meter per minute in 10mm wire, for example.  9. Hydraulic Impact Cut-Off system, for a quick cutting operation.  No Clutch is used in any of our systems. 10. Positive stop for an accurate part length, with an optional computerized length change. The computer enables producing parts fully automatically, by entering the part length and requested quantity.  Alternatively we can supply a digital length readout.
